Book it
What it includes
A belt drive unit with WiFi, two remotes and a wall keypad, installed on your existing rail and hardware. Belt drives are near-silent compared to the chain drives most builders hang, which matters when a bedroom shares a wall with the garage. If you already bought a unit we install it for labor only.
Old walls, old doors
Plenty of south side homes were built before drywall was standard, and mounting into plaster and lath or solid brick takes different anchors and roughly twice the labor. That is why masonry is a separate line on our quote rather than a surprise on the day. Garage doors are the other pattern — anything installed before 1993 has no photo-eye sensors, so an opener replacement here often means adding safety hardware the original install never had. In-wall cable concealment frequently is not possible in these walls, so we price an external raceway instead.
Garage opener questions
How long does a garage door opener installation take?
About two hours for a standard single door, including programming your remotes, the keypad and the WiFi app. We haul the old unit away for $59 if you want it gone.
Can you install an opener I already bought?
Yes. Labor-only installation on a customer-supplied unit is $199, and we will tell you honestly if the unit you bought is wrong for your door weight before we start.
